MAKING A DIFFERENCE

Discrimination is often the root cause of many social, economic, and political problems of today. As an individual and as a leader, we believe you can play a role to combat discrimination through local efforts to make a global impact.

Local Action for Global Change is a Singapore-based movement. This platform was started by high school students Abigail Bilsland, Avni Sharma, and Leah Verma with the intention of spreading real and current knowledge about cases pertaining to discrimination, as well as how to combat these issues through petitions on our website. Between all the three individuals, they have participated in a total of 37 Model United Nations (MUN) conferences, are from seven different countries and all have backgrounds at private international schools, including presenting this topic and website at an MUN Impact conference in 2020. Their international perspective ensures that you will learn a lot from this website.

We believe anyone can help solve current issues pertaining to discrimination specifically. Gain knowledge and sign petitions and donate from this website, and other websites linked here. Anyone can act local, to make a global impact. Be part of the change.
